Mt. Lemmon Camping with the Family

Getting off early on Friday and off on Saturday is very rare in my schedule. So, Max and I decided to go to Mt. Lemmon for a family outing. We brought everything three people and a dog would need to be comfortable, except extra blankets.
We arrived at the campsite sometime after the sunset; which made it very hard to set up camp. Michaela and Sprocket took off to play in the stream while I set up the tent and Max made dinner and the campfire. Michaela and Sprocket came back from the stream for dinner...very cold and wet. For the rest of the evening, Michaela had to walk around in my pajama pants and shoes because she forgot to pack extra.
After a few drinks and roasted marshmallows, the three of us went to crash in the tent; Sprocket slept outside of the tent...by the fire. We were cold by the stream. Max stole the fleece blanket over our bags that we were sharing, so I didn't mind when Michaela's bag snuggled next to my bag to stay warm.
Max woke up at the crack of dawn to make us a delicious breakfast. Michaela and I stayed in our warm sleeping bags and had breakfast in bag. After warming up by the campfire and watching Sprocket run through the stream, we decided to hike a nearby trail.
The hike was probably the highlight of the trip. We were impressed by Sprockets hiking skills; he never went off the trail, and waited for us when the trail would split and he didn't know which way to go next. Michaela hauled ass up the switchbacks, but showed her true self after 45 minutes.

Max, oh my gosh, was not a disappointment. While Max, Michaela and Sprocket were overlooking the mountain off the trail, they exchanged a few words. An older lady hiking up the trail overheard their chit chat and had a look of disgust. Their words:
Max,"I can't wait to get back to camp so I can take a crap!"
Michaela,"I bet that will be the highlight of your day."
I looked over at the lady, I was still on the trail. She paused and didn't say anything. Her face said it all. She continued along the trail and Max and Michaela walked back to the trail. Max saw her and asked if she heard him, I nodded. Max then collapsed in my arms, laughing, and maybe tears of embarrassment were in his eyes. Michaela and I were glad we were there to share that embarrassing moment.
Not much excitement happened after that. Max got ready for his ride around prison camp and such. Michaela and I read in the tent. Sprocket kept guard of the campsite, never failing to let us know if anyone got too close to us.
