2009

November 2009

Greg and I spent Thanksgiving weekend in Monterey, visiting my family and finding our ceremony/reception location. The vacation was more of a celebration. Not only were we there to plan our wedding, but it was the first of many weekends that we will share together. I ended my career in sales/retail management. My focus in now on getting my Graphic Design degree, my new Epic job, and planning my new life with Greg.

Team Colleen
travels to Austin, Texas to participate in the Livestrong Challenge. While it was great hanging out and riding with a bunch of cyclist, my ears missed the sound of knobbs grinding the dirt, and the smell wildlife...if you know what I mean.

The cause was great and would do it again in a second, but I plan on raising more funds.

October 15, 2009

Around one year after our first date, Mr. Greene and I are engaged after a fun night with our friends Celina and Gavin. The story of how he proposed is sweet and romantic, but will not be shared here. He makes me the happiest person in the world!

August 2009

Greg and I took our first vacation together. A week in the Philippines and a week in Cambodia. A great and new experience for both of us, but also my first time out of the country. Greg did an amazing job putting the itinerary together. He did not leave out a single detail.

In the Philippines, we stayed in a gorgeous resort on the beach, another great hut on the beach, one of Manila's finest hotels, and Bohol's Nuts Huts. In a week, we squeezed in some birding, hiking through the jungle, snorkeling, island hopping, site seeing, and shared stories with other travelers.

Cambodia was a surprise birthday trip Greg squeezed in on our already busy 2 week vacation. We spent our days birding and taking pics of the temples, and our nights checking out the city.

I'm so lucky to have someone like Greg to show me the world.

Pictured above is me standing in one of the many halls in Angkor Wat, Cambodia.

June 2009

I kept myself busy by planning Greg's birthday party. My goal was to show this guy a good time after hearing he had never really had a big birthday party...besides the one's you have in grade school.

The house was stocked with water guns, a bowl of glow bracelets, a bowl of glow sticks (it's important to be seen in the dark while riding your bikes to the bars), and snacks and coolers of beers.

After a few games, and soaking the inside of the house with water guns; the party moved to 1702, and The Barrio.

Needless to say, Greg never made it to the shoot out on Saturday; he was still in recovery mode.

Pictured first is our favorite waitress at 1702 getting her revenge.

May 2009

Greg and I finally completed the garage. We put in a lot of late nights to get this project done. I wish I had a before pic, but like me, Greg also gets wild hairs and starts on a project in the middle of the night.

April 2009

I visited my family in Fresno for my brother-in-law's birthday. We picked up my oldest niece Nicole, and the boys David, Chris and Shane, and hung out all weekend. It was like a mini-family reunion. Trish, my sister living in Tucson, drove to Fresno with her husband Randy and two kiddos.

In between the hanging out, sipping on cocktails and playing board games with the fam; I got a wild hair and cut off/donated eleven inches of my hair. Greg was surprised, but knows how I am...I'm a unique one.

Me and Nicole. She is so grown up, I remember when I use to change her diapers!

March 2009

Arizona Spring Fling was my highlight for March. A week long of singletrack in Arizona during Spring break. Kimmeh and I joined the groups at Starr Pass, South Mountain, Sedona, and Black Canyon while the boys stayed home. While camping in Sedona, we accidentally locked the keys in the car while my phone was charging...Vern was not very happy with us.

February 2009

In February, I scheduled my world around 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo. It's an event everyone should experience either as a volunteer, participant or spectator. So much work goes into this huge event! Todd is a genius.

January 2009.

After recovering from tonsillitis and cracked ribblets, I squeezed in a fair amount of riding. For the next two months I juggled managing a bike shop and it's bi-monthly inventory, and Epic's registration for the big race.
