Lemmon Weekend

After a week of riding almost everyday, I relaxed and cooled down by hanging out with some friends up Mt. Lemmon. I made it to the campsite by noon, and hung out with Kim and Max. After driving to Summerhaven to pick up more snacks and ice, we went back to the campsite and became lazy bums. When we weren't sitting on our asses and staring out to the road, waiting for a helmet to pop up from the hill; we played some frisbee, drank some beer, ate some junk food, and put tons of pine cones under Chad's tent.

When the boys came back from their ride, Max grilled some patties and Vern grilled some steaks. Kyle had some gourmet cold chowder while Chad enjoyed some Top Ramen. It became very windy towards the evening which meant no campfire. But we decided to entertain ourselves with come card playing in Vern and Kimmeh's SUV. After many beers, stories and laughs; Chad decided to retire to his Tent. He didn't enjoy the pine cones under his tent as much as we did. When I retired to my tent, I was welcomed by Max's pleasant aroma. His laughing "gas" kept us up a little longer than I wanted.


After some yummy breakfast, we all packed up and headed back to the heat. The weekend was awesome, and I can't wait to do it again...SOON!
