Labor Day Weekend

So, spent most of Labor Day weekend having a good time with a handlebar in one hand and a beer in the other. Oh, and I tried to surround myself around good people, but that didn't work out so well. Also, time was stretched while trying to have my fun, take care of some pooches and work.
Thursday started out with the usual bike ride, but ended the day with April, Marsela and Kim at Maloney's. Lots of fun, haven't done that in forever.
I spent Friday recovering from Thursday night; I went to work with a hangover. Nothing special happened on Friday, just regular work stuff.
Saturday started the weekend. I met SDMB and TucsonMTB at Fantasy for the last Saturday ride. It was fun watching Carline tear up Fantasy. Shortly after, I had to head to work. The day at work was crazy and stressful, but fun. In the evening, Chad decided to post a Bars on Bikes (using my screen name) on TucsonMTB. We knew it was short notice, but what the hell, right? After a busy 8 hours of talking bikes, Chad and I headed to get some drinks and meet some friends at the Surly Wench; Patrick and Chad's roommate eventually showed up. Lots of drinking and lots of funny/weird things took place at the Surly...Patrick kept attracting the lesbians, Chad watched me beat myself at air hockey, Brooklyn Pizza never tasted so good. Another night that led to a bad hangover.
Four hours later, I met Kimmeh for an awesome Sunday morning ride. It had been months since we rode Sweetwater together, so we thought what the hell? It's nice seeing a huge improvement in my riding. It's a little harder to see it at Starr Pass.I later met Chad, Dusty and Scott-Tante at the store to begin our Bars on Bikes ride. So far we had a total of seven riders confirm to our last minute event. Great, cause Chad and I thought we'd be lucky if we even got four others to come ride with us. As we got ready to leave, we noticed a storm starting to roll in towards our side of town. We made it to Bob Dob's without seeing any rain. I think it would have been a dry night if Scott never said, "It never rains six days in a row in Tucson." Thanks Scott. During our route to University, Chad and I decide to ride in our undies...okay, Chad was in undies. I was in boxers and an undershirt. That white undershirt didn't hide much as soon as it started to rain. Chad, Vern, Kim and I took shelter by the University. The longer we waited for the rain to stop, the more we realized that we were screwed. The rain started to come down hard, our cue for heading to another bar. During our long detour, Chad got lots of whistles and howls. Hey Chad, is that a blinkie in your undies or are you just happy to see me?After some more beer and tasty pizza at No Anchovies, we all decide to strip down to our undies and ride back to Kim and Verns for some more beer. Hey, we wanted to make sure that we had dry clothes. I'd have to say that Kim and I took all of Chad's attention during this ride. As we rode by the Y, someone had a great idea to stop and take some silly pics.
Dont you just love the bike tan lines?

We ended the evening drinking more beer while watching some great Robot Chicken. Chad shortly feel asleep and the three of us had our way with him. Then Kim and Vern had their way with me when I fell asleep. I later remember sweet Kim covering me up with a blanket...and later hearing and smelling Chad sleeping.
While there was no hangover to recover from, breakfast bagel sandwiches were much needed to finish off the B&B ride. What a great way to end August.
