Max and I spent Earth day outdoors, but not together. While he went paddling with Chad in Patagonia, I spent the morning with Kathleen. During the drive to Sweetwater, we set goals for our ride. We had plans of riding more than our usual miles, getting more of a workout, and riding new trails. I did not have plans of getting hurt.
So, we start out on Abracadabra to Red Roller Coaster to The Spine. Lots of fun so far. Somewhere on those trails, I forced Shot Bloks down Kathleen mouth. I have picked up good habits while be active with Max. Eating and hydrating during activities are a few of them.
When we reached Shazaam, we also reached some deep sand. I came to a complete stop and lost my balance. I landed into a very dry and painful bush. I had fuzzies all over me and itched for a couple of miles. I also fell on Lost Arrow, scaring the hell out of Kathleen. I was at a weird angle when I fell, landing face first onto the side of my of my handlebar. I'm now left with a small bruise and scuff mark as a reminder.
After those small falls, I was uncomfortable on my bike. I still had lots of fun, but was constantly waiting for my next fall.
We ended our ride with some Xoom Juice...mmmm...peach titan. The rest of the day sucked because I was stuck indoors working.
