I caught Max's cold; but with my asthma, anything small soon becomes big. I tried to keep it from getting worse by staying home for half the day on Friday. When it was time to go to work, I just felt worse. There was a time when I was ringing up a customer, I had to sneeze and I knew it would be messy. I'm sure the customer saw the snot hanging from my nose to my sleeve. It was gross.
Saturday was the morning ride with the girls. I brought tissues just in case I had to ride with them in my nose. I didn't use them; instead I just let the snot drip out of my nose. But my shortness of breathe didn't make for a fun ride. If I rode for ten minutes, I had to stop and rest for five. I went home afterwards to get some rest. Everything made me exhausted, including eating. It's hard to eat and breathe when your nose is stuffed up.
The day later turned into date night. Max took me to the Fourth Avenue Street Fair. We found this unique magnet of skeletons riding bicycles. We then came home, he made dinner, then took me to a movie. This is a rare occasion since he hasn't taken me to the movies since last fall. I tried returning the favor by downloading maps to his GPS. I couldn't figure the damn thing out and I almost threw it out of the house. I become a little cranky when it feels like someone is sitting on my chest.
Today, it was back to work. There are more snot rags around me. And tonight, I'm going to try this GPS thing again.
