I Love My Saturdays

This Saturday has been the biggest turnout yet. We had seven of us; nine if Amanda's allergies were better, and if Kristi's alarm was a bit louder. The ride wasn't the same without you two. Michaela finally got to come ride with us. She rode great, but would have had more fun if she didn't have a cold. Max came too, but he had plans to hike with Sprocket.
Kim led the group out while I stayed in the back, making sure Michaela didn't have any problems. Michaela rode slow and steady, and managed to ride 95 percent of the trail. She had some mechanical problems with her FD, so she couldn't use anything bigger than her baby ring. We made frequent rest stops; she had a bad runny nose. When we were finally done, Michaela was pretty proud of herself, I was proud too. Kathleen continued to show improvement. Stephanie is getting more hooked with every ride.
While loading our bikes into our trucks/cars, lots of guys noticed our group. They were very interested in getting their girlfriends/wives to join our group. It was pretty funny talking to them. Their reasons for them wanting their partners to join our group were the same reasons why we formed this group. Don't get me wrong, I love riding with Max. But being criticized while I'm riding is not fun nor does it help the relationship.

The ladies, our biggest turnout yet.

A couple of dorks trying to ride with the ladies.

Sprocket ready for his hike with Max.

A little girl talk after the ride.
