Today, I purchased my very own (not Max's) HID light. So, what better ride to test it out than Max's Wednesday night ride. The last time I attempted this, it didn't end very bueno. Max made fun of me when I told him I was going out for the ride...I think he was more scared than anything. I'm still real green to riding anything technical; taking away the daylight doesn't make things better.
The ride turned out to be great. No falls or crashes. My chain did slip off a few times when climbing, but that's because I just turned my SS to a 1X8 (looks like it needs some more adjusting). I didn't follow Max's group; I wanted to make sure I made it back to the parking lot before everyone drank all the beer. I just made a bunch of lefts and watched out for the cholla. Then, yeah, I'm back at the parking lot. No GPS system was needed for this ride!
